The World Food Festival event at The Governors House gardens on Sunday 18th November 2012 was a success for TACH and the Turkish Community in general. TACH was able to secure two stalls, one which sold Turkish foods such as baklava, borek, lokum, Cola Turka and kebabs, the other with Turkish Ceramics supplied by Sultan’s Treasure and Turkish coffee with cup readings by TACH’s Filiz Mercankosk. The Governor of Canakkale, Mr Güngör Azim Tuna, and the Governor of Western Australia, Malcolm McCusker AC CVO QC, attended the stall. According to the organising Consular Corps, over 12,000 people attended the festival. TACH’s participation helped to display the Turkish Community’s pride in our culture to the wider Australian Community. Thank you to everyone who supported us in this event!
