In 2009 TACH collaborated with the Turkish Consulate of Western Australia to organise the Turkish Republic Ball at the Hyatt Regency Perth on the 31st of October 2009, celebrating the 86th Anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey.

Music was provided by Grup Ezgi, a 6-piece Melbourne-based Turkish band, with peformances from Mystique Oriental Dance & Turkish Tango.

Over 200 people attended the ball and among the VIPs present to celebrate Republic Day were the Hon Peter Watson MLA, Member for Albany; Margaret Hall, President International Business Council, Hon Consul of the Republic of Chile, Carlos Moncada, Hon Consul of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Frank Crawley, His Worship the Mayor of Albany, Milton Evans, and Bill Gaynor, President of RSL WA.
