The Turkish Australian Culture House has announced that they will be holding Turkish Language Classes for Adults on Wednesday nights commencing on the 20th of February, in the Victoria Park Centre for the Arts, making it one of the only places to learn Turkish in Perth. The classes will be taught by Vesile Yilmaz, an experienced teacher of Turkish as a Foreign Language. The Turkish Australian Culture House has already been contacted by a number of interested students. Mr Erkan Cihanger, President of the Turkish Australian Culture House, said “the Turkish language classes for Adults are unique in Perth. Turkey is becoming a more and more popular destination for Australian tourists especially in the lead up to the 100th Anniversary of the battle of Gallipoli in 2015. These lessons give students the essentials of the Turkish language and also a deeper understanding of Turkish culture, ultimately enriching any traveller’s experience.” The Turkish language classes are an initiative of the Turkish Australian Culture House, a not-for-profit community organisation dedicated to promoting Turkish culture, language, and assisting the Turkish Community in Western Australia. Interested students can contact Karen Gilchrist Yesertener on 0478 221 284 or email secretary@turkishaustralianculturehouse.net.au
