Turkish and Dutch Cultural Festival At the "Springtime at Araluen" Tulip Festival 2014. The Turkish Australian Culture House Inc. is pleased to announce that we will be collaborating with Araluen Botanical Park, the Consul General for the Republic of Turkey in Western Australia, and the Consulate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Western Australia, to hold a cultural festival showcasing Turkish, Dutch and Australian Culture and the "Tulip Connection" between these countries, in the Tulip season of August - September 2014. The festival will run for 4 weeks and include art, culture, food, dance and music from the Turkish and Dutch communities in Western Australia. The "Springtime in Araluen" Tulip Festival attracts over 40,000 people every year. This year, Araluen Botanical Park is planting 120,000 tulips in the theme of Turkey and the Netherlands. The Turkish Australian Culture House Inc is currently looking for members of the Turkish community who would like to participate in the festival. We are looking for: Volunteers to work on the preparation of the festival (Festival Sub-committee) Commercial and community groups to sell Turkish food in the stalls• Turkish artists to exhibit/sell artwork• Turkish musicians to perform• Turkish Folk Dance teachers Turkish Folk Dance students willing to participate in the festival (no experience necessary) Volunteers to give out information on Turkey and the history of the Tulip in Turkey Commercial and community groups to display or sell Turkish ceramics, embroidery or other cultural items and gift ware Don't miss out on your chance to be a part of this unique opportunity to promote Turkish culture in harmony and understanding with the wider Western Australian community.
